The group’s mission is to deepen the role of biomethane in the national energy mix by providing rigorous research, shaping government policy, and aligning strategy across the supply chain. In doing so, the Taskforce seeks to support the UK’s pathway to net zero, stimulate investment in rural regions, foster green job creation, enhance energy security, and promote a circular economy.
Biogen are very proud to be working with the Green Gast Taskforce (GGTF) and support its activity to raise awareness of the important role that anaerobic digestion and biomethane can play in the UK’s transition to Net Zero. The potential that biomethane industry has to help deliver a cost-effective net zero for the UK is a huge untapped resource.
