Biogen was named Recycling Business of the Year at this year's Awards for Excellence in Recycling & Waste Management. The company also picked up the Organics Recycling Business of the Year award, marking a transformational period for the organisation.

Adam Feneley, Biogen MD said, “2018 was a huge year for Biogen as we increased our network of recycling sites from seven to nineteen through a series of strategic acquisitions. This has doubled our number of employees and increased our annual turnover to £40million. I am immensely proud of all the hard work and commitment our teams across the business have put in and these two awards are public recognition of our efforts.”

Now in their 15th year, the awards organised by letsrecycle.com reward innovation, dedication and success within the waste and recycling industries. This year’s expert judging panel comprised Carole Taylor, Chair of LARAC; Steve Eminton, Editor of letsrecycle.com; Julia Turner, Executive Director of the Wood Recyclers Association; Jacob Hayler, Executive Director of the Environmental Services Association; and Robbie Warden, Chair of The Resource Association.
