Biogen featured on the BBC's flagship current affairs programme, Panorama. Presented by the chief environment correspondent, Justin Rowlatt, the half hour broadcast followed a family of four from Nottingham, looking at how they could reduce their carbon footprint.
The benefits of food waste recycling were among the measures highlighted and filming took place at Biogen's Rushden anaerobic digestion facility on 30th August, explaining how plate scrapings and other leftover foods can be turned into renewable energy and a nutrient-rich fertiliser for farmers.
Broadcast on 14th October, the programme can be viewed on the iPlayer by clicking here
