At BiogenGreenfinch, we can provide a complete food waste and animal by-product treatment service for you using one of our three existing AD plants or one of the new ones we are building around the country – and this is where a partnership between you as a waste contractor and ourselves can benefit both of us: you have expertise in collecting waste, we have expertise in disposing of it in a wholly environmentally satisfactory way. With our AD plants, landfill is history.

In addition to partnerships with authorised waste contractors, we also work with several London boroughs, including Ealing, Hounslow, Islington and Richmond, who send source-separated food waste to our AD plants. Ealing reports that in the 12 months to December 2009, it saved almost £165,000 by using AD instead of landfill.  We also provide AD services to Surrey, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Somerset, Shropshire, Flintshire, Powys, and Cerridigion.

You collect and bring – we dispose

We do not operate our own transport / collection service but would work with you so that you can offer your customers a complete disposal service for their food waste.

Typical collection systems including tankers, skips, bulkers, walk-in floor units or curtain-sided vehicles, regularly collecting food waste, including waste fats and oils, from retailers, food producers, restaurants, hospitals, hotels, schools, offices and hospitality events as well as animal by-products from farms and abattoirs. Large volumes of this type of waste are now being recycled at the same cost as landfill disposal.
