Partnership Opportunity

At BiogenGreenfinch, we have proven experience in developing AD plants in agricultural locations; our parent company, Bedfordia Group, had its origins in farming in the 1930s and remains very much involved, with our sister company Bedfordia Farms running one of the largest arable farms in the UK.
We work in partnership with landowners and farmers, as they are integral to the successful implementation of a project.
The key requirements for potential sites include:
- That the site is located in an area that has sources of suitable and available food waste.
- Good road access.
- A suitable electricity or gas grid connection point near by.
- The site is away from residential properties with the opportunity to screen with bunds and planting.
- The land owner is prepared to agree a long term lease for the site with us
In many respects rural sites with access to adjoining land that can benefit from the biofertiliser are ideal, but it is quite feasible to build our plants in urban settings. In an urban locations we transport the biofertiliser to nearby farms – in some cases after treatment on site to reduce the water content.
What is my commitment and what is the profit opportunity?
An anaerobic digestion plant is a long term investment which would match with long term lease for the site – in return we will pay you, the land owner, a commercial rent.
The potential returns from locating one of our plants located on your farm would be:
- Rental income
- Significant savings in crop input costs
- Opportunities from potential new enterprises utilising renewable heat or electricity
- Additional revenue stream from the biofertiliser spreading operation
- Opportunity to invest in the project
- Option to provide other services to the plant
If you are also a farmer we will pay you to spread the biofertiliser on your land; this will require a long term commitment on your part. You will however obtain the value of the fertiliser and for this you will need to invest in the appropriate spreading equipment.
After an initial meeting we will assess the viability of the proposed site and location. We will then feedback the conclusions of this to you and identify the issues that need to be determined to enable us to produce a detailed feasibility study. If this detailed proposal demonstrates the project is viable we would seek to start negotiations with you to enable the project to be implemented.
