AD is recognised by the UK government, Defra, the Welsh Assembly, the Scottish Parliament, Friends of the Earth, the National Farmers Union and others as one of the best methods for the sustainable management of food waste.
Collection and disposal
We do not operate our own transport / collection service but would work with you so that either you or an authorised waste contractor can bring your food waste, packaging and animal by-products to one of our three AD plants.
Typical collection systems including tankers, skips, bulkers, walk-in floor units or curtain-sided vehicles, regularly collecting food waste, including waste fats and oils and animal by-products, from retailers, food producers, restaurants, hospitals, hotels, schools, offices and hospitality events. Large volumes of this type of waste are now being recycled at the same cost as landfill disposal or lower.
