Fact
Food waste sent to landfill emits methane which enters the atmosphere. Methane is 22 times more damaging than CO2.
Landowners & Farmers
The best place to locate a food waste AD plant is on or adjacent to large areas of arable land. We would like to talk to the owners of any large arable farms or other suitable sites about locating such a plant on their land.
Our AD plants convert most of the organic material in food waste into renewable energy – electricity and heat. The remaining material is a liquid biofertiliser containing nitrogen, phosphate and potash and other trace elements which can be spread to farmland, significantly reducing the need for purchased fertiliser. Anaerobic digestion plants can also process energy crops, farm slurries, crop waste and other organic materials.
BiogenGreenfinch: with our agricultural heritage, we understand land and farming.
