The company expands into the South West region through the acquisition of a 1.1MW facility from Enovert, led by Ancala Partners
2019 Biogen named Recycling Business of the Year at the Awards for Excellence in Recycling & Waste Management for the second time.
2018  The acquisition of Tamar Energy is completed to create one of the largest independent AD operating companies in the UK
2018  Biogen adds the Millerhill AD facility near Edinburgh to further grow the company's network

Biogen is acquired by Ancala Bioenergy Ltd, an infrastructure investment vehicle managed by Ancala Partners LLP

2016

45,000 tonne Merevale AD plant near Atherstone in Warwickshire is completed.

2015

22,500 tonne Bryn Pica AD plant in South Wales is officially opened by Carl Sargeant, Welsh Minister for Natural Resources.

45,000 tonne Bygrave AD plant in Hertfordshire is officially opened by Haydn Mursell, CEO of Kier Group

2014

22,500 tonne Waen AD plant near St Asaph, Denbighsire is officially opened.

45,000 tonne Bygrave plant near Baldock, Hertfordshire is completed.

The £6m GwyriAD anaerobic digestion plant in Llwyn Isaf, near Caernarfon is officially opened by First Minister Carwyn Jones.

2013

Biogen achieves the PAS 110 accreditation for its Westwood AD plant near Rushden in Northamptonshire.

2013

Biogen is awarded the 2013 National Recycling Award in the category Recycling and Waste Management Business of the Year - SME.

2013

Biogen and partners Alauna Renewable Energy sign deal with the City of Edinburgh and Midlothian Councils for the construction of a new 30,000 tonnes per year AD plant in Midlothian.

2012

Investment of £24.4m is secured from construction, property and services company, Kier making them 50/50 joint venture partners alongside founders and initial investors Bedfordia.

2011

Biogen completes the construction and commissioning of a 23,000 tonne per year anaerobic digestion plant for Harper Adams University.

2010

Biogen scoops 3 industry 'Oscars’ at the Rushlight Awards.

2009

Commissioning of 45,000 tonne per year Westwood AD plant in Northamptonshire.

2008

Biogen acquires Greenfinch Ltd, the UK's leading anaerobic digestion process engineering company.

2007

Twinwoods AD plant in Bedfordshire is officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal.

2006

Biogen’s Twinwoods AD plant in Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire is completed and begins processing food waste and farm waste from sister company Bedfordia Farms.

2005

Biogen (UK) Ltd is formed with investment from Bedfordia Group.
